ARTHUR CHARLES STALLARD

ARTHUR CHARLES STALLARD 1925 -1944

Arthur Charles, Artie to all who knew him, was the 2nd child of Arthur Nicholas Stallard and Phyllis Margaret sercombe. He was born 20th June 1925 at 2 Oak Villas, Victoria Road, Farnborough. The same year as his cousin Iris Mary Bohey who was also born in the same house, which later became no 26 Victoria Road.

As a teenager Artie and Iris were good friends often going to dances together, until Artie was killed in an accident on 8th June 1944. He was delivering Potatoes which were piled up high in his van, he swerved to miss a pedestrian, the van crashed into a bridge, and went over into the river. Artie was only 18 years old.
