COATE FAMILY TREE

This is not part of my immediate family line, but it is connected to the Ched(g)zoy family through marriage. I have put this information together from baptism records, that I have copies of.

JOHN COATE

John married Joan and they lived in Stoke St Gregory. John was a Labourer and later became a Farmer. They had 2 children that I have baptism dates for, Elizabeth baptised 14th February 1827 who married Michael Chedzoy, and Clara baptised 2nd March 1829. They may also have had a son Richard.

RICHARD COATE

Richard may have been a son of John & Joan Coate, he married Jane and had a least one child Sarah Ann who was baptised 8th December 1850. They may also have had a son Robert.

ROBERT COATE

Robert may have been a son of Richard & Jane Coate, he married Mary (House?). I have found 2 children baptised at Stoke St Gregory, Richard baptised 23rd December 1885 and Howard House baptised 14th February 1886.
