150th anniversary of the arrival of the Constitution Migrants 1855 - 2005

There were 2 Scanes Families that emigrated to Australia in 1855
The first one is Malcolmn Scanes' ancesters who sailed on the "Constitution". They were William Scanes aged 40, wife Eliza aged 40 (she died during the voyage), daughter Eliza Day aged 17, son William H aged 16, son Frederick aged 14, daughter Hannah aged 11 and son Alfred aged 9.
The second family sailed on the "Speedy" they were William Scanes aged 51, his wife Eliza aged 50, daughter Jessie aged 19, son Frederick aged 18 and daughter Anna R aged 15.
If you are descended from any of these, the 150th Anniversary reunion is planned for Sunday 17th July 2005, at the North Head Quarantine Station, Sydney.
