EDMUND LASKEY SPLATT 1817 - 1879

Edmund Laskey was the 5th child of William Splatt and 2nd wife Elizabeth Laskey, he was born  in Kenton, Devon and baptised in Kenton Church on 6th May 1817. Edmund emigrated to Victoria, Australia where he met and married Leah Augusta Bayly in 1849. The couple had 9 children. Their first child Edmund Bayly was born in Melbourne, Victoria in 1850. Georgina Maria was born in 1852 and Caroline Ramsay in 1853 both at Broken River, Victoria. Frances Augusta was born in 1855 at Benalla, Victoria. William Laskey was born in 1857 at Broken River, Colin Harson was born 1859 at St Kilda, Victoria, Ralph Clifton was born in 1861 at Kew, Victoria, Alexander Tulla was born in 1863 at St Kilda.

The family at some point visited England, returning to Australia in 1874. Son Edmund returning in June on the "Somersetshire" the rest of his family following in October on the "Shannon".

Edmund died aged 62 in 1879. His wife died in 1898.

EDMUND BAYLY SPLATT 1850 - Edmund Bayly was the first child of Edmund Laskey Splatt and Leah Augusta Bayly, he was born in Melbourne, Victoria in 1850. Edmund married Susan Leah Knight in 1881. Their son Edmund Ormsley was born in 1882 in Melbourne. Susan died aged 34 in 1892. We have no date of death for Edmund, his son Edmund was aged 40 when he died in Mitcham, Victoria in 1922.

GEORGINA MARIA SPLATT 1852 -  married William Andrew Lamb in 1899.

CAROLINE RAMSAY SPLATT 1853 -1913 died 1913 in South Yarra, Victoria, aged 60.

FRANCES AUGUSTA SPLATT 1855 - 1941 died in 1941 aged about 86.

WILLIAM LASKEY SPLATT 1857 - 1904 William married Maude Mary McGowan in 1901 at Melbourne, but she sadly died the following year in 1902, aged just 27. William died aged 47 at Bairnsdale, Victoria.

COLIN HARSON SPLATT 1859 - 1932

Colin was the 6th child of Edmund Laskey Splatt and Leah Augusta Bayly. He was born at St Kilda, Victoria in 1859. He married Florence Margaret Alexander in 1895 in Victoria. They moved to Albury NSW where his brother Alexander lived. Colin and Florence had 2 children Edmund Leslie born in 1898  and Ellen Augusta Claire born in 1891. Colin died in 1932 aged about 73.

RALPH CLIFTON SPLATT 1861 -1912  Ralph married Nora Kelleher in 1905. He died in 1912 aged about 51.

ALEXANDER TULLA SPLATT 1863 - 1947 

Alexander was the youngest child of Edmund Laskey Splatt and Leah Augusta Bayly. He was born in 1863 in St Kilda, Victoria. He married Rose Victoria Plunkett in 1890 in Albury NSW. Their first child was Rose B born in 1891, then Alexia I born in 1892, Eric Frank Tulla born in 1894. Gladys Evelyn was born 1896 and Muriel Leah was born in 1897.

ERIC FRANK TULLA SPLATT 1894 - 1979 (details given by Barry Reid)

Eric Frank was born in 1894 a son of Alexander Splatt and Rose Plunkett. He was generally known as Frank.  Frank married Marie Lucille Morrison in 1921. She was born 1894 in South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Alexander Morrison and Louisa Mary Moroney. Marie's father was a well-known saddler with premises in Bourke Street, Melbourne. Frank and Marie had a son Francis Joseph born in 1926.  Marie died in 1968 at Caulfield, Victoria. Frank died 1979 in Hampton, Victoria.
