EDWARD HATCHER

EDWARD HATCHER 1820 - Information from Carol Funnell

Edward was the eldest child of William Hatcher and Sophia Dale, he was baptised at Merton in June 1820. Edward married Mary Ann from Bethnal Green, Middx. They had one child William Edward baptised at Wimbledon on 6th June 1847. The 1871 census show them both age 50 living at Haydons Lane, Wimbledon, Edward is a Gardener and Mary Ann is a Laundress. By 1881 they had moved to Merton, Mary Ann died within the next 10 years, as the 1891 census states that Edward is a widower, living at 5 Edenbridge Cottage, Pencot Road, Merton.
