ELI CHEDZOY

ELI CHEDZOY 1838 -

Eli Chedzoy was the 10th child of James Chedzoy and Sarah Way, he was baptised at Stoke St Gregory on 25th March 1838. he married Mary Susannah Parker from Fivehead daughter of Elias Parker on 28th December 1866. Both signed their names, witnessed by Robert Parker, Charles Chedzoy, Levinia Venn and Sarah Parker.  Eli like his father was also a Mason. I do not think they had children. The 1881 census shows them living at Windmills, Stoke St Gregory. Eli age 43, is an unemployed Stone Mason, who is Blind. His wife Mary is age 35. The 1901 census shows Eli aged 63, not working due to his Blindness, Mary S his wife aged 56 working from home as a Withy Whitener.
