EMILY SCANES

EMILY SCANES 1825 -

Emily was the youngest child of 10, born to Henry Scanes and Elizabeth Tuck. She was baptised at Ide church on 2nd October 1825. Emily married John Blakeney an Accountant from Exeter son of John Blakeney, at |Ide Church on 11th February 1847. They both signed their names and the witnesses were Henry Scanes and Sarah A Hitchcock.

In 1851 Emily and her son John were living at Ide with her parents Henry and Elizabeth Scanes, her husband John was elsewhere.
