This is the last Will and Testament of me Emmanuel Chedzoy of Woodhill in the Parish of Stoke St Gregory in the County of Somerset Mason. I hereby appoint my son Ernest Eli Chedzoy to be Trustee and Executor of this my Will. I devise all my real estate and bequeath all my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my Trustee upon the trust following that is to say I direct my said son as soon as conveniently may be after my death to pay all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences and subject thereto to stand possessed of my said real and personal estates. In trust for my dear wife Sarah during her life, and from and after her death upon Trust to sell and convert into money the same or such parts thereof as shall not consist of money and to divide the same in equal shares between my seven children now living share and share alike. And I declare that if any child of mine shall die in my lifetime or that of my said wife having a child or children who shall take and if more than one equally between them the share or property hereinbefore given to his her or their parent. Provided always that if there shall be no child of a child of mine so dying as aforesaid, who shall obtain a vested interest under the last foregoing clause then the share or property of such child of mine so dying as aforesaid hereinbefore given to him or her shall go to and be equally divided between his or her surviving brothers and sisters.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand to this my will this eleventh day of May 1893....
Signed by the said Emmanuel Chedzoy the Testator as his last Will in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his sight and presence and in the presence of each other have ascribed our names as attending witnessses.
