He married Sophie Wheadon on 17th July 1859, the marriage certificate states grooms father as Samuel Betty. Henry and Sophie had 9 children. They went to live at High Ham where their first 5 children were born. Samuel John was born in 3rd August 1859, Harriett Jane was born 4th April 1861, Sturton was born 9th February 1863, but sadly died on 21st November 1864. The next child being a boy was also called Sturton he was born 1st May 1865, Thomas was born 28th May 1867, Mercy was born 28th January 1870. They then moved to Glastonbury where Richard was born 30th May 1872. From here they moved to Puriton where Herbert was born on 27th June1875, and Flora Ann was born 18th December 1877. Another child Lucy Ann I found on the 1891 census was born about 1886.
