HENRY ALDRED

HENRY ALDRED 1811 -

Henry was the 7th child of Thomas Aldred & Jane Chuter, he was baptised at Frensham on 9th June 1811. Henry married Prudence Deadman at Headley 6th June 1836, witnessed by John Deadman and Louisa Aldred. I found them on the 1841 census living at Dockenfield, Henry aged 25 an Agricultural Labourer and Prudence his wife aged 20.

The 1881 census for Batts Corner, Dockenfield, shows Henry Aldred, head, age 70, Agricultural Labourer, born Dockenfield, Prudence Aldred, wife, age 63, born Dockenfield. The 1891 census shows them still living at Batts Corner, Dockenfield, Henry, aged 79, working as a Gardener, and Prudence aged 72.

Henry died within the next 10 years, the 1901 census shows Prudence Aldred, head, widow, age 84, Farming small plot of land, born Frensham. Living at Batts Corner, Dockenfield.
