HENRY BONNER

HENRY BONNER 1835 -

Henry was the 8th of William & Mary Bonner, he was born about 1835 at Tilford. Henry married Martha, and they stayed in Tilford to raise their family. Martha was born about 1858, Charles was born about 1860, Clara was born about 1862, Frederick was born about 1864, Edwin born about 1867 and Frank born about 1870, Harry born about 1873, William born 1874, and Mary L born 1877.

The 1871 census shows the family living at Reeds, Tilford Road. Henry Bonner, head, aged 36, Agricultural Labourer, Martha Bonner, wife, aged 34, Tailoress, Martha, daughter, aged 13, Scholar, Charles, son, aged 11, Scholar, Clara, daughter, aged 9, Scholar, Frederick, son age 7, Scholar, Edwin, son, age 4, and Frank, son, aged 1.

By 1881 Henry had died, leaving Martha to bring up their children. They were living at Malt House Field, Farnham, Martha aged 44 was  working as a Seamstress, Charles aged 22 was working as a Gardener, Frank aged 11 was an Agricultural Labourer, Harry aged 8, William aged 7 and Mary L aged 4 were at School. They had a Boarder 24 year old Frederick Cranham who worked as an Agricultural Labourer.
