HENRY  GEORGE CHEDGZOY 1869 - 1932

Henry (Aka Harry) was the 6th child of John Chedgzoy and Sarah Caroline Odell, he was born 4th October 1869 at King's Norton, and was baptised at St Paul's, Balsall Heath, Birmingham, on 15th June 1873. He married Elizabeth Pugh, the daughter of Henry Richard Pugh and Eliza Stokes. They married on 22nd December 1889 at Holy Trinity, Bordesley, Birmingham. Henry's occupation was a Brass Polisher. Henry and Elizabeth had 10 children. Harriet Elizabeth (Tizzy) was born 28th April 1890 at 3 Bath Place, Henry Street, Balsall Heath. She married Ernest Dove. John (Aka Jack) was born 14th March 1891 at 1 Cornish Place, Brighton Road, Balsall Heath. Ada Maud was born 24th March 1892 also at 1 Cornish Place. She died aged 5 on 15th December 1897 at 13 red Grave Terrace, Mole Street, Balsall Heath. Wilfrid was born 22nd February 1896 at Mole Street, he married Nellie Bayliss on 14th September 1918. Albert was born 8th March 1899 he married Jane Turner on 27th September 1930, he died 25th March 1966. Arthur was born mid 1901 but sadly died age 4 in June 1905. Hilda was born 9th May 1905, she married Charles Davis. Harry was born 25th December 1905, he married Dora Edwards, he died 1972. Leslie was born 5th May 1908. Frederick.

The 1901 census shows Henry living at 13/19 Mole? Street, Aston, Birmingham. Henry Chedgzoy, head, aged 32, Brass Polisher, born at Birmingham. Elizabeth, wife, aged 37. Harriet, daughter, aged 10. John, son aged 10. Wilfred, son, aged 5. Albert, son, aged 2. Arthur, aged 1 month.

Henry died on 13th May 1932 at 7 Beachfield Avenue, Sparkbrook, Birmingham, he was buried on 19th May 1932 at Brandwood End Cemetery, King's Heath, Birmingham. Elizabeth died 16th March 1939 and was also buried at Brandwood End on 21st March 1939.

LESLIE CHEDGZOY 1908 - 1979

Leslie was the 9th child of Henry George Chedgzoy and Elizabeth Pugh, born on 5th May 1908 at Mole Street, Birmingham. He married Evelyn Annie May Gennoe on 26th March 1932. They had 2 children (Julie) Edna Evelyn and Robert Leslie.
