HORNE FAMILY TREE

JOHN HORNE

John married Mary. Their first child I believe was  Emma  baptised 13th March 1837. Ellen baptised 10th February 1839. George baptised 3rd August 1845. Esther baptised 2nd January 1848. Caroline baptised 5th May 1850, she married Philip Sumner, she died aged 41 in 1891. Thomas baptised 5th December 1852. Jane baptised 6th April 1856.

The 1881 census for Bramshill, Heckfield shows Mary Horne a widow aged 62 born at Heckfield, her son Thomas aged 28, unmarried an agricultural labourer born at Heckfield and grandson John Horne aged 10 born at Bramshill.

ELLEN HORNE 1839 -

Ellen was the second child of John Horn and Mary, she was baptised at Heckfield & Mattingly on 10th February 1839. Ellen had an illegitimate son John Newman Horne who was baptised 5th April 1857.  She married William Newman son of James Newman on 13th February 1858, Ellen signed her name but William made his mark.
