IDE PAGE

Ide is a small Village about one and a half miles south west of Exeter. The church is dedicated to the German Saint Ida of Herzfeld, the Saint Ida's day is 4th September. The current church was rebuilt in 1834. I took the pictures of the church below on a visit in August 2000.

1841 census for Ide click here The Census was done in two Enumerations districts, No.17 was taken by Samuel Tuck Scanes. No.16 was taken by Joseph Slee. The total population of Ide was 795 people.
