JANE CHAMPION

This page has been compiled from information kindly given by Terry Champion & Terry Taylor. The information is still a bit sketchy in parts, but we hope to add to it in due course.

JANE CHAMPION 1848 -

Jane was the third child of  Alfred Champion and Charlotte Dare, she was baptised at Stoke St Gregory on 25th May 1848. Jane had two illegitimate children Alway Champion, he was registered as Holway Champion, no father is quoted, he was born on 1st November 1867 at Stoke St Gregory.  He also seems to have been baptised twice, Holway son of Jane Champion - spinster on 22nd February 1868 and as Hollway on 24th January 1869. Rosina was baptised 4th February 1877.

ALWAY CHAMPION 1867 -

Alway was born on 1st November 1867 an illegitimate child of Jane Champion. He married Harriet Rosina Hector on 10th December 1892. They stayed in Stoke St Gregory and had there children.  William Alway Lenner baptised 30th June 1895, Clifford Cecil & Gilbert both baptised at Stoke St Gregory on 26th June 1898. Percival Abraham was born 23rd May 1899.
