JOHN DISCOMBE

My thanks to Peter Carter for adding to my information on this part of the family.

JOHN DISCOMBE 1757 - 1837

John was the second child of Thomas Discombe and Mary Hill. He was baptised at Kenton on 8th April 1757. John married Mary Tapper at Kenton on 28th February 1780. They had 4 children I found in the Kenton Parish registers. John baptised 13th September 1780, whom we believe must have died young. William baptised 10th September 1783, he married Elizabeth Legg. Mary baptised 26th May 1786. Elizabeth baptised 15th April 1789 & Susanna baptised 9th June 1793. Three years later John's wife Mary died and was buried at Kenton 22nd April 1796.

 Later that same year John married Elizabeth Kissiah on 14th September 1796. They possibly had 6 children. John baptised 16th July 1797. Thomas baptised 25th December 1799, he married Jane. Ann baptised 6th June 1801. Samuel baptised 26th February 1805, who must have sadly died very young. Jane baptised 13th December 1807 and Samuel baptised 25th November 1810.

John died aged 80, and was buried at Kenton on 28th May 1837.

JOHN DISCOMBE 1797 -

John was the first child of John Discombe and Elizabeth Kissiah, he was baptised at Kenton on 16th July 1797. He married Elizabeth Wills on 8th September 1819. They settled in Starcross. Their first child John was born 10th December 1821 and was baptised at Kenton on Christmas Day. William was born 2 years later on 3rd November 1824 and baptised at Kenton on 21st November 1824.
