JOHN SERCOMBE

Information from Marian Kristensen nee Sercombe, all information on this page has been provided by Marian, but put into my own words. This is Marian's branch of the Sercombe family.

JOHN SERCOMBE 1854 - 1927

John was the 2nd child of John Norrish Sercombe and Martha Jervis, he was born at Perry Farm, Doddiscombesleigh on 8th April 1854. John married Jane Pitts daughter of Richard & Sarah Pitts, on 24th April 1882 at Hennock. They emigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1882. They settled in Parkhill where their 3 children were born, Frederick John born 22nd November 1882, William Pitts born 1st December 1883 and Albert Henry born 30th August 1885. John's wife Jane died, and in 1925 John married Ada Salter. He died 2 years later from a Heart Attack on 29th August 1927, he is buried at Arkona Cemetery. His widow Ada returned to England.

FREDERICK JOHN SERCOMBE 1882 - 1962 Frederick was the 1st child of John Sercombe and Jane Pitts, he was born at Parkhill, Ontario on 22nd November 1882. He married Margaret Cornell on 18th March 1912, and then Lucy Selina Waterman on 5th September 1923. Frederick John died on 11th December 1962 at Strathroy Hospital, Ontario. He and his wives are buried at Arkona Cemetary.

WILLIAM PITTS SERCOMBE 1883 - 1974 William was the 2nd child of John Sercombe and Jane Pitts, he was born at Parkhill, Ontario on 1st December 1883. he died on 20th December 1974.

ALBERT HENRY SERCOMBE 1885 - 1962 Albert Henry was the 3rd child of John Sercombe and Jane Pitts, he was born like his brothers at Parkhill, Ontario on 30th August 1885. He died at St Joseph Hospital, London, Ontario on 3rd July 1962.
