JOSEPH LEWINGTON 1831 - 1905

Joseph was the youngest child of William Lewington and Sarah Durbage. He was born about 1831 at Kingsclere and baptised at St Mary's church 6th March 1831. Joseph married Elizabeth Fisher the daughter of John Fisher, at St Mary's church on 12th November 1859. The witnesses were Henry Swadden and Jane Swadden. Joseph and Elizabeth had 4 children. Their first child Thomas John was born 2nd October 1870 at Bear Cottages, Kingsclere, he was baptised 10th February 1878. The next 3 children were born at The Dell, Kingsclere. Emma was baptised 28th February 1862. William was baptised on Whitsun Day 15th May 1864. Louisa was baptised 24th June 1866.

Joseph died aged 74 years in 1905 at Stantons Row, Kingsclere.
