MARY CHEDZOY

MARY CHEDZOY 1828 -1913 (information from John Lecky relative from Autralia)

Mary was the 6th child of James Chedzoy and Sarah Way, she was baptised at Stoke St Gregory on 16th November 1828. When Mary was 21 years old her mother died. Mary moved to London and was living in the Caledonian Road, Islington when she married John Smellie an engraver. They were married by banns at St Andrews Church on 13th October 1862 Mary was age 32. Mary and John lived at 26 Falkland Avenue, Kentish Town and had 4 children. Robert, George Harry, Alfred John and Eliza Elizabeth.  Mary died age 82 on 19th July 1913 at 23 Bosworth Road, New Southgate, North London, and she is buried at Southgate Cemetery with her husband John.
