MILTON PARISH REGISTER OF BURIALS
This is an extract from the Milton Parish Register of Burials, other names listed are on the photocopies I made for my names.
18th December 1678 John Huggins was buryed according to a late Act of Parliament, entitled an Act of burying in Woollen, December 18th. affidavit made by Anne Scarlet & Joan King before Justice W Hyrott of Abingdon December 23rd 1678. I do not know much about this act, except that is was supposed to help the failing Woollen industry. I am asuming that John Huggins was the first in Milton to be buried this way. All burials after his carried the same affidavit's.
22nd July 1684 Sarah Huggins widow - was buried according to ye act.
13th August 1687 Eleanor Huggins - the wife of John Huggins was buried according to ye act.
