MIRIAM SERCOMBE

My thanks to Marian Kristensen for giving me Miriam's husbands name.

MIRIAM SERCOMBE 1852 -

Miriam was the eldest child of John Norrish Sercombe and Martha Jervis, she was born at Perry Farm, Doddiscombesleigh and baptised on 5th September 1852. Perry Farm was a large farm of 100 acres, owned by her grand father George Sercombe.

Miriam married John L Pavey a builder, the 1881 census shows them living at 2 Lakes Buildings, Holy Trinity, Exeter. John L Pavey age 27, a Master Builder employing 5 men, born at Exeter, Miriam Pavey his wife age 28, born at Doddiscombesleigh, William Pavey, son, age 5, a scholar, born at Exeter, Edith B Pavey age 4, a scholar, born at Exeter, and John Balson age 22, unmarried, Border, Carpenter, born Sandford.

I do not have anymore information on Miriam.
