PETER PESTER

The following information was kindly supplied by Heather Morgan.

PETER PESTER 1873 - 1942

Peter was the 6th child of John Pester and Mary Ann Ekers. He was born 17th June 1873 at Barton Cottages, Whitestone.

Peter married Jessie C. Tucker from South Molton in 1895. They had 7 children, Ivy Winifred was born in 1896, Beatrice was born in 1899, Clara Maud was born 15th September 1901. Ernest Charles Edward was born 18th August 1910, then followed Eve, then Caroline Jessie in 1913 and George.

IVY WINIFRED PESTER 1896 -

Ivy Winifred (Win) was the first child of Peter Pester and Jessie Tucker, she was born in 1896. Ivy Winifred married Lyon John Rosevear late in life, he worked on the stained glass windows of Exeter Cathedral after WW2. They adopted Dudley John Anthony Thomas (Tony)  

BEATRICE PESTER 1899 -1980's

Beatrice never married and died during the 1980's.

CLARA MAUD PESTER 1901 -

Clara Maud was born 15th September 1901. She married George Hawkins on 9th July 1928. They had two children, Beryl Edith born 1929 and Ken George born 1932.

EVE PESTER

Eve married Richard Shepherd and had three children, Stella, Frank and Mary.

FREDERICK GEORGE PESTER 1903 -

George married Beatrice Channon, they had 4 children Cyril, George, Margaret and one other.George married for a second time in 1941 to Florence Ashplant.

CAROLINE JESSIE PESTER 1913 -

Carrie married Wallace Rumblelow in 1935 and they had a daughter Ann born in 1968.

ERNEST CHARLES EDWARD PESTER 1910 - 1969

Ernest was the third child of Peter Pester and Bessie Tucker, he was born 18th August 1910. Ernest married Mary Alexander Mons Taylor at St Michael's and All Angels, Heavitree during the early 1930's. They had five children, Shirley Ann born 21st September 1935, Michael Antony born 23rd October 1938, Arthur Charles born 14th June 1940, Peter John born 19th August 1943 and Margaret Jean born 23rd April 1949. They were all born at Wonford, Exeter.

Ernest was the groundsman at the County Ground, Exeter where she died at a speedway meeting on Bank Holiday Monday 25th May 1969.
