POPE FAMILY TREE

The Pope family is not part of my immediate line, but it is connected to the Ched(g)zoy name by marriage, and I have records of the following on baptisms records.

JOHN POPE

John was a Shoemaker, he married Elizabeth, they lived in Stoke St Gregory. I have found 2 children baptised at Stoke St Gregory, Elizabeth baptised on 25th December 1823 and Sarah baptised 25th February 1827. I think they had more children Francis and George.

GEORGE POPE

George was probably a son of John & Elizabeth Pope, He married Emma, and had a least 2 children, John and Elizabeth Ann Sophia both baptised at Stoke St Gregory on 10th June 1855. They may have had 2 more sons Robert and Henry.

ELIZABETH ANN SOPHIA POPE 1855 -

Elizabeth Ann Sophia was a daughter of George & Emma Pope, she was baptised at Stoke St Gregory on 10th June 1855 with her brother John. She married George Charles Chedzoy on 11th January 1878 at Stoke St Gregory. They had 7 children in all. (see George Charles Chedzoy)
