RICHARD CHEDZEY 1872 - 1973 (information taken from 1901 census)

Richard was the son of Henry Chedzoy and Sophia Wheadon, he was born 30th May 1872 at Puriton, Somerset. Richard married Elizabeth. Their children were born at Roath, Cardiff. William H. born about 1896, Herbert R. born about 1897, Dora E. born about 1899 and Clifford G. born about 1900.

The 1901 census shows them living at 15 Pontypridd Street, Roath: Richard Chedzey, aged 28, ...filler blast furnace worker, born at Puriton, Somerset. His wife Elizabeth, aged 29, born at New Milford, ........?. William H. aged 5, born at Cardiff. Herbert R, aged 4, born at Cardiff. Dora E. aged 2, born at Cardiff. Clifford G. aged 1, born at Cardiff.

Richard and Elizabeth had about 10 children in all. 

Richard lived till 101 years of age.
