JOHN SHELLY

John married Hannah Muselwhite at Downton, Wiltshire on 3rd October 1786. They had five children, Isaac born 1798, Sophia born 1790, who married James Golden in 1819. Sukey born 1793, Susanna born 1795 who married John Snook in 1818. William born 1803.

ISAAC SHELLY 1798 -

Isaac was the first child of John Shelly and Hannah Muselwhite, he was born in 1798. Isaac married Sarah Carpenter at Lyndhurst on 27th June 1827. They had 8 children. George born 1828, Susan born 1830, who married Thomas James Fripp in 1855.  William born 1832, George Carpenter born 1835, Elizabeth born 1836, who married George C Wickens from the Isle of Wight. Isaac born 1838, John born 1839, who married Jane White in 1861. Frederick James born 1841, he became a Baker and married Jane....?

ISAAC SHELLY 1838 -

Isaac was the 6th child of Isaac Shelley and Sarah Carpenter, he was born in 1838. Isaac married Emily Cruse from Kenton at St Pauls Westminster Bridge Road, Southwark, Surrey, on 20th November 1864. Isaac and Emily had 4 children. Walter John born 1865. Frederick George born 1866. George D born 1873, and  Emily.

The 1881 census shows the family living at 46 Penn Rd Villas, Islington, Middlesex. Isaac Shelly aged 42, Commercial Clerk from Lyndhurst, Hampshire. Emily Shelly, his wife, aged 40 from Kenton, Devon. Walter J Shelly his son aged 15, Drapers Clerk born Blackfriars, Middlesex. Frederick G Shelly his son aged 14, Artist (painter) born Islington. George D Shelly his son aged 7, Scholar born Islington. Walter G Fripp, visitor aged 18, Tailor from Lymington.

WALTER JOHN SHELLY 1865 - 1936

Walter was the youngest child of Isaac Shelly and Emily Cruse, he was born in 1865. Walter emigrated to South Africa where he met his wife. He had a farm which he called Kenton.
