THOMAS CHEDZOY

Ancestor of Albert Chedzey

THOMAS CHEDZOY 1867 - 1942

Thomas was the 4th child of Henry Chedzoy and Sophia Wheadon, he was born 28th May 1867 at High Ham. By 1881  14 years old Thomas was working as an indoor Farm Servant for Robert Stagg and his family at Locking, Somerset, It wasn't a large farm, consisting of 36 acres. In 1886 Thomas decided to go to Australia, his mother gave him the Family Bible to take with him. The Chedzoy name became Chedzey. I'm not sure when Thomas married or to whom, but he did have 4 children. Henry Thomas known as Harry was born 26th February 1907, he married Ivy. George Herbert was born 16th February 1909 in Western Australia. Jessie was born 1912 and Fred was born 1914.

Thomas died 4th August 1942 at Moora W.A.

GEORGE HERBERT CHEDZEY 1909 -

George Herbert was the 2nd son of Thomas Chedzoy and his wife, he was born in Western Australia on 16th February 1909. At this point I do not know who he married or how many children he had, but his son Albert Thomas was born 1936.
