TREND FAMILY TREE

ROBERT TREND (complied using guess work from the Whitstone parish registers)

The earliest entry for the Trend name in the Whitstone parish registers is for John Trend son of Robert baptised 19th June 1729. The next entries start with Benjamin Trend son of Robert of Brandford baptised 26th December 1737, Hannah Trend daughter of Robert of Bramford baptised 10th September 1741. I'm sure that Robert also had a son Robert who married Ann Cox in 1756 and  also a son Oliver, who married Mary Mayne in 1764 . The burial register has an entry for Elizabeth Trend of Brandford buried 14th January 1735, presumably Roberts wife. Benjamin died aged nearly 6, and was buried 20th September 1743 and Hannah died aged 10, she was buried 29th September 1751. After the death of Elizabeth, Robert married Joan, she died a few years after her daughter Hannah, she was buried 12th March 1755.

JOHN TREND 1729 - 1818

John was a son of Robert Trend he was baptised at Whitstone 19th June 1729. He  married Sarah Splatt on 9th June 1763 at Whitestone. I have found 3 children so far, John baptised 14th March 1764, he died aged 58 in 1822. Hannah baptised 29th December 1765 and William baptised 14th July 1771 & Betty baptised 25th June 1774. Sarah died aged 73 and was buried 19th August 1808. John died aged 89 and was buried 15th July 1818.

HANNAH TREND 1765 -

Hannah was the 2nd child of John Trend and Sarah Splatt, she was baptised at Whitestone on 29th December 1765. Hannah married Simon Splatt on 15th October 1786 at Whitestone. They had 5 children all born at Whitestone. Ann baptised 6th February 1787, Richard baptised 27th April 1788, Simon baptised 28th February 1793, John baptised 17th April 1796, and Sarah baptised 6th January 1799.

I found Hannah on the 1851 census for Whitestone, living with John and Susan Norrish, she was a Lodger, widow age 85, and receiving Relief. The address was Norrish Cottage, Whitestone.
