TUCK FAMILY TREE

SAMUEL TUCK 1765 - 1834

Samuel was born about 1765 and would have married young. His daughter Elizabeth stated on census returns that she was born at Southampton. I do not know how many children Samuel had. Towards the end of his life he was living at Broadclist, Devon, he died aged 69 and was buried at Ide on 7th April 1834.

ELIZABETH TUCK 1786 - 1869

Elizabeth was born about 1786 at Southampton, Hampshire. She married Henry Scanes a Wheelwright from Ide, Devon. on 25th September 1806 at Ide church. I am not sure how many children they had, but here are the ones I have found, Samuel Tuck was born in 1808, Henry was born in 1810, possibly John born about 1813, William was born 1814, Ann who is mentioned on their gravestone, and Emily born about 1825.

At the time of the 1851 census, Elizabeth and Samuel were living at Smalldridge, Ide, and their daughter Emily Blakeney and her son John age 3 were staying with them. Their son's John and Samuel were also living close by. Elizabeth died age 83 in July 1869, she is buried at Ide church with her daughter Ann and husband Henry.
