WILLIAM HENRY HATCHER 1821 -

William Henry was the 2nd child of William Hatcher and Sophia Dale, he was baptised in October 1821 at Merton. He married Jane and had 4 children. Charles was born 29th March 1853 at Merton. Esther Sophia was born 2nd May 1855 at Double Row, Merton. William Henry was born 29th April 1857 at Merton. Edward George was born 16th March 1859 at Merton. William Henry worked as a Plate Printer or (Primer). The 1881 census shows they were living at no 6 Double Row, Merton, William age 59, a Gardener, Jane his wife age 60, and son Edward age 21 a Carpenter.

ESTHER SOPHIA HATCHER 1855 -

Esther Sophia went to live and work at Sydney Nursery Convalesent Home, London Road, Mitcham, where she was a Domestic Cook. The 1881 census shows her age 25, there were 54 children staying ranging in age from 2 to 14 years.

WILLIAM HENRY HATCHER 1857 -

William Henry 3rd child of William Henry and Jane, born 29th April 1857 at Merton, he married Julia A. who already had a child Julia A. William & Julia had a son William H. born in 1880. The 1881 census shows the family living at 5 Russell Road, Wimbledon. William H Hatcher age 23, Coal Merchants Clerk, born Merton. Julia A. Hatcher age 25 born at Streatham. daughter Julia A. Heatherton age 7, Scholar, born at Wimbledon, and son William H. Hatcher age 1, born Wimbledon.

EDWARD GEORGE HATCHER 1859 -

Edward George youngest child of William Henry Hatcher and Jane, was born 16th March 1859. He married Elizabeth Harriet Butler daughter of Mathias Butler on 6th May 1883 at St Michael and All Angels, Hackney, Middx. They lived at 30 Trelauney Road, Hackney, and then moved to 5 Pinert Road, Merton. Edward George worked as a Carpenter, they had 4 children. Grace, George, Edith who married Mr Ebsworth and had 4 children, Rosemary, Grace, Morris and Charles. Edward George born 30th November 1884 at Merton.

EDWARD GEORGE HATCHER 1884 - 1956

Edward George youngest child of Edward George Hatcher and Elizabeth Harriet Butler, was born 30th November 1884. He married Bertha Treagus daughter of Walter Treagus and Frances Hunt. They had 7 children listed below. Edward George died age 71 in July 1956 and was buried 21st July 1956 in Bandon Hill Cemetery, Beddington, Surrey.

Bertha Margarita Hatcher married Rupert Luker. She had one child Tony. Bertha died in 1992.

Frances Elizabeth Hatcher married Mr. Edward Martin, they had a daughter June, who married Mr. Barry Springfield, they had two daughters, Karen and Tracy. (information from Karen Springfield)

Frederick George Hatcher married Dorothy.

Leonard Edward Treagus Hatcher was born about 1906 at Beddington, Surrey. He married Gwenn, they had 2 children, Richard and Jennifer. Leonard had various businesses in Croydon for most of his working life. Leonard Edward died 1979. (information from Richard Hatcher)

Walter Louis Hatcher was born about 1910. He married Inga at Basingstoke. They had 2 children, Michael and Carolyn.

Eileen Vera Hatcher was born 22nd May 1918

Douglas Leigh Hatcher was born 26th May 1920 at Wallingford, Surrey. He married Barbara Edith Parker daughter of Harold Edward Parker and Edith May Langridge on 1st December 1945. They had a child Clive Edward Hatcher and he has a son Danny Leigh.
