The following information is taken from a report of a meeting of The Pioneer History Society, Macomb County, Michigan, on 22nd March 1881. At the time of this report William is described as the oldest man in the town of Washington, aged 91 years.

Charlotte and William settled in Washington TWP (Township), Macomb County, Michigan, on May 22, 1837, where he spent the majority of his life, working on his homestead of 200 acres. Charlotte and William were Baptists and voted Republican.

The report also mentions Andrew Inwood, but does not identify if he is a son or grandson of Charlotte and William.
